What is Chakra Balancing?
Chakra Balancing is the name given to the process of creating harmony between the seven main invisible energy centres that are located along the centre line of the body. The chakras are considered to be the entry gates to the aura and each have a specific colour and function. The individual chakras are responsible for maintaining physical, emotional and mental balance within the body and can cause health dysfunction through blocked energy.
How it works:
The chakras are in constant rotation and help to maintain spiritual balance and physical wellbeing. Each chakra has a specific purpose that relates to different parts of the body and emotions. Chakra balancing may involve a number of holistic and complementary therapies and processes and may include reiki, colour therapy, visualisation, meditation and aromatherapy treatments. The therapist may use a pendulum for dowsing and clearing negative or blocked energy or may simply use their hands as tools. Ensuring that the chakras work at their optimum creates a more balanced approach to life with a positive outlook and enhanced wellbeing.
Correcting chakra imbalances can help to improve and alleviate physical issues like lower back pain, repeated injury to the same site, digestive disorders, breathing problems, headaches, thyroid problems and poor circulation. Emotional imbalances that respond well include: eating disorders, the need for approval, anger, depression, moodiness, low self-esteem and willpower. Mental imbalances like resentment, indecision, lack of motivation, boredom, apathy, jealousy and disconnection to the reality of life can also benefit.
