What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a talking therapy that is used to explore deep-seated emotional and mental problems and other life limiting conditions. The therapy is an effective method of identifying and examining thoughts, feelings, perceptions, patterns of behaviour and fears through allowing the subconscious mind to do all the work. Hypnotherapy uses the power of deep relaxation to tap into hidden issues that the conscious mind prefers to ignore. The method can also be used as an application to help with addiction, weight management and confidence building.
How it works:
There are many different types of hypnotherapy models and support available. After the initial consultation the therapist will work through a programme of treatment that is designed to help you move forward. The session usually lasts 60 minutes and begins by counting you down into a state of deep relaxation. Visualisation techniques are used to create a bridge between the conscious and subconscious mind so that you can visually explore what the therapist directs you to look at. By identifying issues you begin the self-healing process.
Hypnotherapy is an effective healing tool that works with a large number of problems, issues and conditions. It can be used to modify behaviour and change habits, ease and manage pain, overcome shyness and build confidence, improve sleep and sports performance and help depression. For long-standing issues the treatment plan can include multiple sessions over a period of weeks. One-off treatments for confidence boosting before an exam, job interview or driving test are also beneficial.
