Don’t miss your plane
All sorts of clever people will tell you about why life should be celebrated and embraced and you can now join them on their journey by subscribing to their special program or purchasing their books
Me well I’m not like that, of course I would be honoured if you decided to follow me or even want to learn about my journey on the planet then please do so, you can link to me via any of the usual channels
It’s true life is a journey, you are only here for a short period of time so you may as well make the most of it, you may be someone who is feeling really stressed about your life, well ask yourself when was the last time that you really made time for yourself?
Happiness can only come from within you may have all the trappings of modern day life but if your soul isn’t happy then you will feel blue, what I’m trying to say is make time for yourself that important report can wait an hour can’t it? After all you see pictures of your boss on social media enjoying their life, well shouldn’t you also be enjoying yourself as well?
Just making some simple changes in your life can be so uplifting for the heart and soul, personally when I feel like I’m dropping into a rut I either go to the Gym or I meditate, finding time to do what you like doing may feel like it’s impossible but why not try some of the following tips, these are tips that have worked for me:
On a piece of paper
Write down what time you got up, and then record on the hour every hour until you go to bed what you have done in that hour, it doesn’t need to be war & peace just a couple of words. Then the next day work out how many hours you wasted time by scrolling on social media, (I don’t mean having conversations as they are a thumbs up in my eyes), then look for any other patterns of time you wasted – it can be very enlightening, when I did it myself I hadn’t realised just how much time I wasted just being nosey and not having conversations.
Switch off the news
Yes it is important to be aware of what is going on in the world however isn’t it more important to spend time with loved ones, family & friends and the people that made you happy, I stopped watching the news years ago and get all the current affairs I need from social media, I would love to be able to stop the rot there as well but it’s impossible, although I do like good news stories and ones that warm the heart, I’m particularly fond of the Jack Canfield books “chicken soup for the soul” those types of stories are always welcome in my eyes – happy for you to leave any of your own in the comments box.
Get out into the Fresh Air
We are just coming out of the hibernation season where we gorge ourselves stupid on chocolate and biscuits (or is that just me?) and never want to leave the house as it’s too cold – seriously it’s not like Lancashire is Siberia or Alaska now is it. Those guys still brave it in all conditions but in the modernised western world we wait for Spring & Summer and then moan it’s too hot (can never get my head around that either!).
Seriously though I live in Lancashire and have some of the most beautiful countryside on my doorstep in fact a friend of mine has his own website dedicated to getting your boots on the ground in and around Lancashire and the South Lakes http://custom-essay-service-help.co.uk/ entitled www.bowlandwalks.co.uk check the site out if you are looking for some inspiration.
That’s some of the things that make me happy I have many of others that I could of included, I would be very interested in hearing what you guys do to get yourselves going and what you do to enlighten your own personal journey – please feel free to comment below.
